This depends on your roof space and the size of the inverter. If you have sufficient roof space and additional capacity in the inverter you could increase the size of your system. Or you could add a second solar system to your roof. Please note: At this time, the solar Feed-in Tariffs in each state have limits on the system size which to they apply. Increasing the size of an existing solar power system could affect your eligibility for a Feed-in Tariff. Please call us for further information.

No, unfortunately not. Because solar panels produce DC electricity and most buildings run on AC electricity, the inverter is required to change the DC power into usable power. This cannot happen during a blackout. Also, due to safety reasons, all inverters in Australia are designed to shut down and stop sending electricity to the grid during power outages. Most of our solar installations take place in a single day. This is scheduled in advance once the type of solar system has been agreed with the client.

Because we are situated in the Southern hemisphere, North-facing roofs are ideal to collect the maximum amount of photons from the sun. After that, East and West-facing roofs are the next best but approximately 20% less than North.
